Thomas E. Hutson, DO, PharmD, FACP, is the Director of the Genitourinary Oncology Program and Co-Director of the Center of Excellence for Texas Oncology in the Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Baylor University Medical Center; and Co-Chair of Genitourinary Research for US Oncology.
Dr. Hutson’s main research interests focus on improving outcomes in patients with renal cell carcinoma through the use of novel and targeted agents. He has served as the Principal Investigator for multiple clinical trials investigating novel therapies in renal cell carcinoma, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer. His research has resulted in over 100 publications, including chapters in medical textbooks.
As a internationally recognized opinion leader in the field of Genitourinary Oncology, Dr. Hutson serves on the editorial boards of Clinical Prostate Cancer, Clinical Genitourinary Cancer, Kidney Cancer Journal, Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy, Cure, Cancer.Net, and MedTrust and is a reviewer for several other journals, including Cancer, Lancet, and Lancet Oncology.
